The ECO4 Scheme

Government Funding For Energy Efficient Upgrades

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a UK Government backed scheme that provides grants to fund energy efficient upgrades for homes in the UK.

The scheme aims to reduce household carbon emissions and provide more energy efficient measures to homes.

The current scheme covers a 4 year period, until 2026 and is available to homeowners and tenants.

How It Works:

Once we have confirmed your eligibility, we can arrange a free survey carried out by our qualified and certified surveyor. The survey will consist of an inspection of your homes energy efficiency, condition and occupancy.

The surveyor will produce an energy performance report (EPR) and if your property is rated E,F, or G, then it qualifies for funding. In some cases, a D rating may also qualify. After identifying measures that can be implemented, we will submit the relevant paperwork to the utility for approval and arrange to install your new energy efficient products.

Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

Most properties in England & Wales have an EPC lodged on the central register at https://www.gov.uk/find-energy-certificate

Your property is given an energy rating from A to G, A being the most energy efficient and G being the least.

If your property does not have an EPC, don't worry. Our Surveyor will complete an Energy Performance Report (EPR) as part of their assessment anyway, to ensure the most accurate and up to date information is obtained.
